The Wingboard is designed for maximum progression, early and gradual lift onto the foil, more control, agile flight, and easy forgiving touchdowns. Our 2025 Wingboard is aimed at beginner to intermediate foilers looking to advance their skills to the next level.

WHAT’S NEW?

The longer, narrower nose helps take off faster and reduces catching through turns. The deep vee nose and higher nose rocker make for forgiving touchdowns. The refined pointed cutaway extends the rocker for early glide and helps release onto the foil faster.

GRAVITY CONTROL SYSTEM

Starboard pioneered the gravity control system in 1994, now used in windsurfing and paddle boarding. Control is achieved by keeping the feet as close to the water as possible. Cutaways were introduced in 1999, and the wing systems were developed for our iQFoiL Olympic boards to allow wide-tail boards easy lift-off and easier touchdowns. 

It gives you the best connection to the foil while offering float around the outline of the board for stability and balance on the water. This compact design feature is an industry first.

The 6’5” will be a popular choice in the Wingboard range as an easy board for learning, but also fun for more experienced riders. The large cutaways at the tail help you to take off super early, and touchdowns are more forgiving than ever with the new Vee bottom nose combined with high rocker line.

TIMELESS LOOK, SOLID PERFORMANCE

› Super-strong and lightweight biaxial carbon fiber is laminated on the deck and bottom over the foil for maximum stiffness and rigidity. A PVC stringer prevents impact damage and creates a secure mount for the foil box.

› Double-reinforced rails provide additional strength and stiffness, while multiple layers of fiberglass protect the entire board.

› Australian pine wood in the standing area offers extra impact resistance and rigidity in the most critical impact zone.

› All inserts feature high-density foam reinforcements, along with added rail and nose reinforcements for extra durability.
